Like many Americans I watched the events on every channel and the foreign news as well to see with horror as police and Capital security were injured and killed in Washington DC. on January 6th of this year. The mob laughing and chanting the names of elected people of service from Congress to the Vice President threatening to harm even kill them. They broke into the Capital…People that John and I know personally that work there were terrified. Others that we know that live in D.C. gave us first hand accounts of what they saw and heard in the streets and in hotels where these traitors to the rules of law, to our government and country desecrated our capital. The mob broke into offices, pounded on memorials, used flags as weapons while some urinated and shat on the floor. Of course the country went numb with shock and sorrow while reeling in the middle all the deaths of Covid. So now here we are. The most powerful country in the world almost brought to it’s knees by a cultish rabble. The voice of the people spoke and the presidents own chosen ratified the vote and said it was a proper and rightful election yet still, there are those with cold and selfish hearts who claim that this was all some sort of mistake or the riot never happened? What a slap on the face of every service man and women who sacrificed their time for our country. What a spit on the graves of every service man and woman of Policemen and women, Security men and women who have died on their jobs. We the people have every right to demand a full investigation of the shameful events of January 6th and only cowards and the guilty would say otherwise. Cornelia Benavidez in gratitude for the forms online and the country that allows me to speak freely.

V-E Day
On this day I think of what my parents and extended family faced and went through during the war years. I also remember my mother saying how everything changed in her life after the Nazi’s came and broke into the local newspaper office destroyed the printing press, kidnapped the young man who was paid to sleep there. He was never seen again. The radio went silent and hundreds of reporters, educators, scientists, politicians, judges, certain religious, spiritual people and Military people were arrested or taken away and shot. This is the way it always starts when freedom is under attack. We won the war for the world last round now we have to look at history, the facts and use our common sense to see what is going on around us now. We can only see clearly through the eyes of love for our neighbor, country and the values we have held dear that made our country prosper. When I was a child our nation was respected and our ideals the hope of the world. We did not always agree with each other but created a government that worked for the interests of nation and its people. It was not perfect but we fought for better especially from the 60’s on and we did it by massive protests many peaceful and having intelligent robust conversations on all forms of media and with each other. We figured out solutions from high-school kids to the highest offices in the land. We were impassioned but for the most part discerning. For the sake of our children and the peace of the world we have to not only wake up but act quickly to save Liberty and Justice and restore the health of our nation.

Natures Child
It is there that I feel you dance
The tears come more easy now
This I consider a gift
I most miss the sound of your voice
The way you could so laugh
And delight in life’s beauty
With such fierce joy
You are natures child
In sea, flame, flower, tree and river
I see you smiling there
Getting personal with Cornelia Benavidez
Remembering Margaret
Margaret on Lammas
I remember you in most in August
Though your birthday was in July
I still smile at your Pele lava hair
The Sunflowers that would grace your Altar
While your hands and fingers would express
The wit in those sharp cat green eyes
Lammas is its own special wisdom
When you open your heart, she would say
Yes, it is first Harvest but it fore-tells the fall
Pay attention to the comings and goings in life
They are the chapters of your story
Bloom like a sunflower be full of seeds to feed others
Be joyful in life to burst like the dandelion
From yellow-gold to white then let the wind
Carry your song for others to find
The wake up

Up dated Bio
I was born Cornelia Benavidez in Texas but raised in Michigan by my American Veteran father and German born mother. After graduating from Albion College I had the main adventures of my youth in San Francisco CA. where I dove into Music, the Mystical and the Philosophical. This lead me to a wide arc of creative and passionate people from the Music scene and the world of non-profits and the legal world where I met my husband Atty. John Doyle. We helped Kathy Peck from the “Contractions” create H.E.A.R Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers with Dr. Flash Gordon from the Haight Ashbury Clinic. Had many wonderful animal friends that helped us raise a delightful child till life’s winds blew us to Oregon. There I found both the peace in nature that inspired me to write my tales of fantasy and adventure blending history, lore and fiction under C.B. Doyle. In 2016 I started a non-fiction series in Punk Globe Magazine called “San Francisco 1978”. Also, releasing under my given name May 19th of this year is my first non-fiction book “Victor Anderson an American Shaman”
